On January 20, 2015, Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court issued a document which formally ruled that the patent right of patent involved in the case (patent for invention of Dow Corning Toary Co., Ltd., i.e. “Curable Organopolysiloxane Composition and Semi-conductor Device Manufacturing by Using This Composition” with patent number of ZL 03824673.2) was declared as entirely invalid after Patent Reexamination Board of SIPO reviewed it. Therefore, the patent right was under an instable status. That Dow Corning (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit on the ground of infringement upon its patent right did not comply with the acceptance conditions and therefore the prosecution from Dow Corning was rejected.

Therefore, the patent infringement case lasting for nearly 1 year finally ended.
